There are many aspects to pastoral care and folks can be involved in a number of specific ways as they feel inclined. Some of the areas include the following:
- Connection
Keeping in contact with folks who cannot regularly attend services. Currently one person regularly writes note cards and another keeps in touch via phone calls. Other venues of connection would be very welcome. - Healing Prayer
We hope to reactivate the Healing Prayer ministry in at least one service per month. In addition, Healing Prayer will be offered to people in their homes or place or current residence or via Zoom. - Hybrid oureach
Offering Quarterly in-person communion to our folks who are regularly part of our parish through Zoom. - Meal trains
Coordinating meals for those who are ill or otherwise in need of meals for a brief period of time. We have offered this, though we often struggle to find people to actually sign up to make and deliver meals. We hope this important aspect of pastoral care can become more active and involve more people. - Clergy support
Helping clergy stay current on pastoral needs and supporting them in their pastoral ministry.
